"Don't be sad that it's over, smile because it happened."

I started writing this post...with this heading...when I got back from my Illinois visit in Sept. The title has a whole new meaning now..or at least an added meaning. We've just returned from another "unexpected trip" for my beautiful Grandma. She passed peacefully on Thursday night, October 17th. She was surrounded by as many loved ones as possible and filled with love from those far away too.Christ held her hand as she drew in her last breaths, while sleeping. Her life was full, beautiful, and something to aspire to have. Her legacy forever lives in her  children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Each one loved her so deeply and knows how much she loved them as well. It was her gift. She made every person she had contact with feel loved and important. All fears, anxieties, or feelings of judgement disappeared when you were with her. She knew how to love so well and it is that love that we will forever long to feel and we miss so terribly. I am so very honored to be apart of her legacy and to be called hers. How blessed I am to of had her for 30 years of my life. Her life was beautiful and mine is too.

and here's the original post ;)

September was beautiful, busy, emotional, exciting, not boring, and full of celebrations!! I was anxious headed on my own with the boys and anxious when I left, about what I left behind. I cannot say enough how amazing my life is, and how Blessed we are every single day for where we are, who we have, and what we've been given. But, I admit I struggle with being far from my family, from my friends. I feel more complete when everyone I love is within arms reach. But, I pray. Not for answers or solutions, not really for anything particular, I  pray because it brings me peace and takes some of that anxiety away.  On our first night back someones face book post had a quote that read "Don't be sad that it's over, smile because it happened." What a beautiful end to a perfect trip.

There are literally hundreds of photos ...here's a glimpse of our Spectacular September!
