December Days

I 've chosen this "glamour shot" for  my first photo as a mini disclaimer to my posts. I keep up on this blog to share with close friends and family on what  we're up to here in AZ...but as I read through I notice sometimes it looks a little deceiving. We do a lot of projects/crafts around here, but it's important to know they aren't all "glamorous" Some are complete disasters and make complete messes. I usually don't share that stuff, because I lived it once, who once to see it all over again. But, I'm realizing that sometimes remembering the "messes" is a little humbling :)

Evan not enjoying this art time at all!!

So, this is how he felt about that
haha ok I think those are it, the rest were pretty great moments ( ok he is pretty cute in those ,too!)

My favorite Christmas gifts.

This photo used to hang in my Grandma's house and my parents gave it to me for Christmas. They have the same one hanging in their upstairs hallway with the Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus prayer on it.

What I don't think they know is that whenever I was discouraged, afraid (big fear of storms as a child) or feeling defeated, I would stare at this photo and pray the Novena, sometimes over and over again, and it would ALWAYS bring me peace.  So, this picture doesn't just represent a beautiful photo of Christ or a wonderful memory of something that once belonged to my beloved Grandma, but it also represents a sense of peace. Peace in my heart, my mind, and now my home. Thanks to my mom and dad for this most wonderful gift of peace. And thank you Grandma, for knowing that is what it would bring me. ;)

Love all of the Christmas card love!!
