April Update :)

Everyday I think of something or see something  fantastic to share on this blog, and every time I finally get the chance to sit down and write...BLANK!!

I think it's my brains defense mechanism, so I don't overload. Just like every other Momma in the world, My mind is on overdrive all the time..I even started writing stuff down on sticky notes, because they were just too good not to share, have no idea where those notes are. They will suddenly appear, no doubt , to clutter  my house when it needs to be its cleanest....

I am going to try to update this blog on all the boys have been doing this month. April weather in S. AZ has been fantastic  We have been lucky that our hot hot hotness, hasn't creeped in too early this year, which has let us with some amazingly beautiful Spring Days ;) We have enjoyed our days:

  • Swimming
  • Playing at parks
  • zoo
  • farms
  • Mommy School play dates
  • back yard water fun

Evan is officially not a baby on so many levels, but still my sweet baby boy in other ways. He runs everywhere, jumps off everything, and climbs everything. My favorite is when he swishes his arms back behind him when he pretends to be a jet. He loves to dance, to be sung to,EAT, playing in water, but NOT the pool! Loves bubbles, kites, trucks, cars, any furry or non furry friend!

snuggly boy
He is so delightfully naughty, too! I say delightfully, because even when he is hitting, biting, yelling "NO" or climbing up and down my walls...he has the best intentions or is well within his 13 month old boundaries of trying to get by in this world. He is also a very stubborn soul and prefers to apologize or use his manners (say please, thank you etc..) in his own time. We ofcourse, still correct him and encourage him to do so, but for now, he's not having it. He's also very dramatic and loves to throw himself against walls or onto the floor at any given moment.

He is good at using his imagination and content playing on his own. But, he is always happy to have a friend too. He is my sweet cuddle bug and always comes to snuggle with me. He will curl up in my lap for a long time and I love it! He loves to be read to, but only tolerates it for a short time. He adores his pacifier..he calls "Ba" and loves to hold lovies or any stuffed animal.

hugging "Plumper"
He understands everything we say and tell him and is picking up new words all the time. So far he has about a dozen, but he prefers to sign over talking. These past few days he'll go on and on telling us magnificent stories in his own little babbly language. His voice is co cute and borders a very similar resemblance to Chubaka's :) ...especially when he says "car"

Evan is everything we could have imagined and more. He doesnt miss a beat and fell into his role in this family so perfectly. Evan reminds us everyday of innocence, patience, endurance, and absolute endless love. We are so proud of who he is and who he is becoming! ;)

Lawrence is 21/2 going on 10. No joke, he is capable of the most intelligent conversations, and I'm in awe at what he comprehends and how he strategizes through life. We can totally reason with him on EVERY issue and it makes these toddler/preschool years with him so much easier than I know they are supposed to be. That doesnt mean he doesnt have his toddler moments, he definitely does, but he's quick to redirect and it takes very little time for him to completely phase out of behaviors.  He has the most amazing memory, too. It makes me happy that the learning part of school shouldn't be to tough on him, but concerned that we are able to keep him challenged too.

I love to watch Lawrence with other people. He has a gift to make everyone he is with feel so important and special. He loves to be around people and we are blessed to be surrounded by so many that love him too. When he's not boasting about all of his family from out of town (ALL of you!! he absolutey knows and adores each and everyone!) he is talking about his friends here in AZ. He has a little "girlfriend" he has known his entire life that he truly loves and will tell you how much he loves her each day. He's going to make a fantastic husband one day!

He loves to love and be loved and with that, also gets his feelings hurt pretty easily. He's our darling little old soul, and always has been. The amount of care and empathy in him is admirable and we are so proud of him everyday.
Side story: we are fish sitting and I came out to the kitchen to find him holding fishy in his hands one morning...luckily I got to fishy in time and he's still with us, but it was quite the scare. Lawrence was heart broken, sobbing, asking if "Whitey" was okay. To be honest I didnt know at the time, I was to afraid to see if he made it.  He continued to cry this new cry I had never heard before. He was genuinely heart broken at the fact that fishy could be harmed and started saying all he wanted to do was hold him. Our sweet baby. We were sure to remind Lawrence of how to care for fishy and were delighted to see fishy was doing good! I felt horrible that me baby was so sad, but also happy to see that he had this amazing, natural "goodness" in him!

Lawrence's favorite things include kites, care, trucks JETS! playing in the water, the pool, outside, and at the gym. Loves music, dancing and watching Little Einsteins and Super Why.  He talks about birthday parties and his own birthday (which he knows the month and day now) everyday!!He continues to be very curious about everything and is always wanting to learn more.

Easter sparked his interest about Jesus and his life, and death. He attends a Sunday bible class and learned about the bad guys that hurt Jesus. He talked about it over and over and still brings it up sometimes. He couldn't understand why they hurt him and wanted to know if Jesus was ok.  Again, his concern for others is awe-striking at times for his age.
Easter Sunday...love his face in this

He is border line done with naps, but is sure to entertain himself for at least an hour so mommy can have some much needed "mommy time" We also think its safe to say that he's fully potty trained. Just wears diapers for bedtime. :) (ps..all of you that have already potty trained boys know this, but for my family and friends who have yet to know what is to come....buy a urinal, no questions, just trust me!)
This usually how I find him, and his room ,after "quiet"time

He loves superheros and anything related to being a superhero....he is first in line to help his baby brother and will say...."to the rescue!!! "
He is the best big brother and such a good role model for Evan.  Evan idolizes Lawrence and Lawrence is so good to him. W e are so very proud!!!

Hahah...wow looks like most of it came back to me!! I need to not take such long breaks in between posts!
