Christmas Cookies

One of my favorite childhood memories (there are so so many) is making Christmas cookies at my Nana's with my siblings and cousins. Every year we would pile into her kitchen and mix, kneed, roll, cut, bake, and frost. Looking back I have an overwhelming sense of love when I think of those times, and also a new respect for my Grandmas unbelievable amount of patience and organization  You realize how much goes into it when you do it by yourself. She's a Saint! :)

Lawrence is really grasping all that is Christmas this year (and Evan is right in on all the fun too) which makes it so fun and exciting for Larry and I. I was so excited to bake cookies with my little boys this year and the moment did not disappoint. From the first flour pour to the last frosted cookie I soaked it all up and cherished the tradition that I was able to carry on with my boys.

The Cookie Cutter Keeper
Larry read the directions while Lawrence and I got to working. Sweet baby Evan kept a good eye on all of the cookie cutters for us. We really put Lawrence to work and he loved it all!! I will forever cherish this memory and anticipate future memories I can pass on to my babies!

Lawrence floured Evan's nose too :)
This was a long process for two little monkeys so we spread it out over two days.  Day two was frosting time. I learned not to let a two year old add the food coloring (without close supervision) and that one cookie was all he needed! :)

I will forever cherish this memory and am so excited for all of the future memories we can pass on to our babies!
