Toddler Tuesday- More Fall and Election Day

I couldn't resist getting the little ones in on some voting for Election Day! It was super simple and super cute. I just showed them a foam pumpkin and decorative leaf and asked them which was more fun to play with. I quickly described how each is fun. "Leaves can twirl and you can rake them up jump in a big pile!" Pumpkins are round, you can roll them, and carve them too!"  Then, they each got to choose. When they made their decision they got two corresponding foam stickers to match their vote. One to wear and one to put up on our chart. We had four friends today and it was a tie.

Of course, we couldn't have that, so when Evan woke up, Lawrence and I had him vote, too!

I put the leaf and pumpkin on the ground and asked him the same question. Whichever one he crawled to would be the winner!!

Pumpkin!!
Today's projects are repeats. L and I made a Fall Wreath together as soon as Aunt Erin sent us Fall!! But, we had to share with our friends!! They added more pops of colors this time!  The sun catchers are the same idea as the pumpkins we made. We used tissue paper instead of paint. :)
Fall Wreaths and Leaf Sun Catchers

I have found it easier to do the project with Lawrence after our friends leave. Sometimes he will want to work on it when they are here and sometimes not. I just let him decide. Today, he made a wreath with his friends and made his sun catcher with mommy afterwards.
